DESCRIPTION:We’re crossing the county line and heading out to the Ugly Mug in Orange for a second night of the Cadence Collective Anthology Release celebration! This year has 147 poems from 72 poets\, and once again honored with art from Esmeralda Villalobos and portraits by Fernando Gallegos. We’re also featuring poets from other Sadie Girl Press publications and will have a large selection of books for sale ranging from $5 to $15. Hosted by Two Idiots Peddling Poetry\, Ben Trigg and Steven Ramirez\, the reading starts at 8 pm sharp. Remember to arrive early\, sign up on the open reading list\, and have the small $3 entry fee.\nIf you are a contributor and have not received your contributor copy\, come at least 15 minutes early to get your copy. We will have goodies and raffles so stop by! \nThe event is Saturday and Sunday September 26 & 27 10am-6pm. \nMore than 50 fine artists and 10 chalk artists will display and demonstrate their work at this beautiful park in Old Town Monrovia. See painting\, ceramics\, sculpture\, photography\, jewelry\, mixed media\, glass blowing and digital art. Listen to live musical and dance performances each afternoon. Taste tempting treats from food trucks. Bid on works of art donated by the artists in the Silent Auction. All proceeds go to support art education in the community.
